These are Gary’s beloved CS3.6s in walnut. This is the last pair of CS3.6s ever manufactured. They were assembled by Rob and given to Gary in 2018. You’ll notice that the bottom front corners are painted black. This is because the veneer was chipped a little bit from the cabinets sitting unassembled in the loft at the THIEL factory for many years. When Rob assembled them for Gary, he elected to paint the corners rather than attempt a repair on the walnut veneer. It’s tastefully done and looks nice. The speakers are in excellent working condition and very good cosmetic condition except for the black corners and other small spots noted in the pictures. They come with spikes, and the grille fabric is in great shape as well. They are currently connected to Gary’s living room system, so if you need an audition to confirm condition, it can be arranged.
CS3.6s are listed among Stereophile’s top 100 components of all time, and they are amazing speakers by any standard. Here’s an opportunity to own a pair that were never sold and only ever owned by THIEL staff.
